During the three days of the event, 70 national and international bands and artists will pass through the four stages

20,000 people welcome Low 2023

29 July 2023
Apertura Low

Some 20,000 people welcomed Low Festival 2023 yesterday, which over three days brings together 70 national and international bands and artists and is experiencing its most sustainable edition. Several hours after the doors opened, the mayor, Toni Pérez, together with the mayor of Events, Jesús Carrobles, and the promoter of the festival, José Manuel Piñero, toured the venue, which this year has increased in size, comfort and sustainability after the works carried out by the City Council in Ciudad Deportiva 'Guillermo Amor'. These improvements have facilitated, among other things, reducing the number of chemical toilets and their replacement by modular toilets in different parts of the venue.

In terms of music, the first day of the Low ended with the performance of more than 20 bands, artists and DJs on the four stages of the venue, which included, among others, Interpol, GusGus, Viva Suecia and Arde Bogotá. Ahead, another two days of music, with names like those of Placebo, Vetusta Morla, Deluxe, Iván Ferreiro, Second or Ladilla Rusa.

In addition to the health and security device made up of 200 troops, the Low Festival's security was reinforced last night from the air, since the event is serving as the final exercise of a civilian course on the use of drones for security and emergency coordination, taught by the company Vig-Sec Drone and with which the security forces and bodies collaborate, including the Benidorm Local Police. Thus, at certain times yesterday there were up to five drones flying over the perimeter to control the normal operation of the event, offering information in real time. This practical exercise will continue this Saturday.
