Youth is finalizing a new edition of 'Benidorm Games Event', with video game zones, talks, and camping

The Youth Department is finalising a new edition of its major annual technology event for video games and PCs, the 'Benidorm Games Event,' which will take place on the Carrer de Pilota at the Palau d'Esports l'Illa in Benidorm from October 17 to 19 and is financially supported by the Alicante Provincial Council. As in previous years, there will be several designated areas at the event: Freestyle, LAN, and Camping.
In the first area, PS5, XBOX Series X, driving peripherals, and virtual reality stations will be set up so that participants can enjoy the latest video games such as Fortnite, Brawl Star, Clash Royale, Apex, Pro, FIFA, Tekken, Forza, Rocket League, and Lego, among others. A mobile zone and Wi-Fi hotspots will also be available for mobile devices and tablets.
In the LAN Zone, 50 stations will be set up for users who come to the event with their peripherals (PCs, screens, consoles, etc.). This space will host several conferences: "Electronic Entertainment as a Cultural and Social Asset," "Video Games and e-Sports: Prejudices and Realities," and "Content Creators."
Finally, there will be a Camping Area set up in an area adjacent to the building for those who want to set up a tent for the night or as a place to rest.
Regarding the schedule, "Benidorm Games Event" will start on Friday, the 17th at 5:00 PM and run until midnight. The following day, the hours will be from 12:00 PM to midnight, and on the last day, Sunday the 19th, from midnight to midnight.
The City Council, headed by Ana Soliveres, has announced that registration is free and is not required for the free use of video games. However, if you wish to participate in a tournament, you must indicate this, as well as whether you will be using your own PC or game console or using the camping tent. To do so, participants must provide their full name, phone number, and ID number.
Those wishing to use their own equipment must bring a fully equipped computer or game console with everything they need, and all electrical and broadband internet connections will be provided.
More information and registration can be obtained at the Youth Information Centre in person, by calling 96-5853041, or by emailing juventud@benidorm.org, and at www.logrodesbloqueado.com.
