The parallel program begins this afternoon with the opening of the photography exhibition by José Palanca
An exhibition, a new tourist map, and a turtle release complete the celebration of Tourism Day in Benidorm

The main event will be on Wednesday, where awards will be given to Jet2Holidays, Grupo Social ONCE, AVE, Abreca and, posthumously, to Vicente Climent Llorca
On the occasion of Tourism Day, Benidorm City Council has organised several activities to complement the institutional event where the annual Benidorm City Tourism Awards are presented. This year, the awards will recognise the British tour operator Jet2, the ONCE Social Group, the Valencian Business Association (AVE), and Abreca, in the International, National, Regional, and Local categories, respectively. In addition to these awards, a Special Mention will be given, which will honour the recently deceased local businessman Vicente Climent, owner of the legendary Benidorm Palace nightclub.
The program begins this evening at 7:00 p.m. with the opening of an exhibition by local photographer José Palanca entitled "Benidorm, Tierra de Luz" at the Urban Art Space of Ponent, at the intersection of Jaime I and Armada Española avenues. Tomorrow, Tuesday, September 23rd, a new tourist resource will be launched: an illustrated map signed by the artist Arly Jones. Meanwhile, on Wednesday, at 12:30 p.m., the central and institutional event for Tourism Day will take place in the Town Hall Assembly Hall.
On Thursday, at 11:00 a.m., and in collaboration with the Valencia Oceanogràfic, a turtle release is planned, during which the turtles born from the nest located on Poniente Beach will be released into the sea in the summer of 2024.
The Mayor, Toni Pérez, stated that "for Benidorm, Tourism Day is an important event, since tourism is our reason for being, our main industry, and a driver of sustained and sustainable growth." Therefore, "we have organised several initiatives that will give even greater prominence to a commemoration in which Benidorm and tourism are championed."
