The XXX Benidorm Christmas Window Dressing Contest will distribute prizes valued at 8,000 euros among participating establishments

Benidorm will celebrate the XXX edition of the Christmas Window Dressing Contest, which will take place on December 1, the date on which registration opens for establishments that wish to participate. This year the contest will distribute almost 8,000 euros in prizes focused on promoting the digitalization of businesses.

The Councilor for Commerce, Javier Jordá, presented this edition of the contest today, accompanied by the president of AICO, Raúl Parra, and Alex Frattini, representative of Abreca-Cobreca. In the presentation, the mayor highlighted that the same categories as in previous years will be repeated, that is: hotels, hospitality establishments, and shops, with different prizes depending on the category of the participants.

"The criteria for evaluating the participants will take into account the creativity of the decoration, its originality, the thematic setting, aesthetics, and advertising on social networks," said the councilor, who specified that in the publications on social networks of the establishments, Benidorm City Council must be tagged and the hashtag #Benidormnadal2023 must also appear.

To formalize registrations, a QR code can be used that will direct you to the rules and registration form which can be found on the AICO website and the posters referring to the contest. Likewise, interested parties can contact the email address benidormnadal2023@benidorm.org

Registrations can be formalized from Friday, December 1 to Monday, December 11 and the decoration will have to remain visible until January 8. The winners of the contest will be known during the gala that will be held on December 22 at 9 p.m. “Each participant will be entered into the draw for a Christmas basket, although they must be present at the gala,” indicated the counselor.
Regarding the awards, Javier Jordá has pointed out that “more than the financial amount itself, we have sought to promote digitalization and the promotion of the establishment.”

Thus, in the hospitality category, the first prize, valued at 2,000 euros, will consist of a bonus of 1,500 euros to purchase products from Cobreca suppliers and another 500 in a photo and video report. The second prize, valued at 1,000 euros, will offer a bonus of 500 euros and the photographic and video report. The third, valued at 500 euros, will consist of the business report. There will also be a special prize valued at 250 euros, consisting of a tablet.

As for the retail category, the first prize is valued at 2,450 euros and will be made up of a Gestiplanet management package valued at 1,950 euros and 500 euros in a radio advertising campaign. The second prize will be 720 euros in the Gestiplanet package and 250 euros for purchases in a wholesale establishment and the third prize will be the 720 euros in the Gestiplanet package. Also in this category, there will be a special prize of a tablet valued at 250 euros.

Finally, in the hotel category, the awards will consist of commemorative plaques, according to the Councilor for Commerce.
