31 August 2017
El benidormense ‘Xomi’ Seguí, luce sus tres medallas de los XVI Juegos Mundiales de Policías y Bomberos en el Ayuntamiento

Today, the mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has received in his office the firefighter from Benidorm, Domingo Seguí, 'Xomi', recent winner of the sixteenth edition of the World Police and Fire Games held between 7 and August 16 in the Californian city of Los Angeles.

The mayor, who has been accompanied at all times by the councilor for Sports, Arturo Cabrillo, and the councilwoman of Social Welfare, Ángela Llorca (family of Seguí), has congratulated him for his professional and sports trajectories, and for his extensive collection of trophies that, after the Games, has been increased with a silver medal in individual category and another two (silver and bronze), in teams, along with firefighters and a local police of Madrid City Hall. To get his victory, he had to ascend the tower of the Aon Center in Los Angeles, a skyscraper 262 meters high and 62 floors, 22 more than Bali Hotel in Benidorm.
