The works to improve the drainage of the bridge of L'Aigüera and Alfonso Puchades begin on Monday
This action will avoid the accumulation of water at this point on rainy days. The work will last about a week and will involve occasional traffic deviations in this section
Next Monday, December 12, is scheduled to begin work to improve the drainage of the bridge of L'Aigüera that connects with the avenue of Alfonso Puchades. Works that "will solve the problems of accumulation of water that presents this point in rainy days and that makes circulation difficult, especially affecting emergency vehicles," as explained by the councilor for Works and Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate. De Zárate has reported that "these works will last about a week and will involve deviations or punctual cuts of traffic, as depending on the days it will have to be closed to traffic. However, he clarified that "the bulk of the works will be concentrated on Monday and Tuesday," so that from Wednesday these deviations or cuts will occur only at certain times of the day. As a result of this work is going to eliminate the current median, leaving a unique platform across the width of the bridge. It is also going to act in the street Austria to allow the turn of vehicles to the left, signifying the intersection of this one with the bridge, reducing thus the intensity of traffic in the Cruce. In addition, it is going to implant a new step of traffic lights pedestrian in the street Austria and another to the height of the Clinic Benidorm. Once this work of improvement is completed, the asphalting of the avenue of Alfonso Puchades and the street Austria will proceed. The councilman of Works has indicated that "if the weather conditions do not delay this action, the asphalt works could be finished within two weeks."
