Two new playgrounds adapted opposite the Early Stimulation Center

09 December 2016
Dos nuevas zonas de juegos adaptados frente al Centro de Estimulación Temprana

There are already three actions taken in this first phase which will have to be added to the future Foietes Park

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, accompanied by the councilor for Social Welfare, Angela Llorca, the councilman of Works, José Ramón González de Zárate and representatives of the municipal groups: Socialist, Ciudadanos por Benidorm and Ciudadanos has carried out a first inspection of the works that are being carried out in the infantile zones of the Rincón de Loix Park to transform them into integrating parks for people with functional diversity. The action, which was initially only planned for the playground closest to the Center for Early and Aquatic Stimulation (CETA), has been expanded so that the two existing park can benefit. In this sense, it should be remembered that the initiative to adapt the facilities is part of a proposal of the Neighborhood Council within the Participatory Budgets of 2016 and the concrete intervention in this environment, a motion of the Citizens Group (C's) approved in session Plenary session by the municipal corporation. The playground next to the Early Care Center contemplates the installation of the game 'Secret Passage', adapted to a wheelchair that can also be used by children from the age of two. Across the room there are pieces that emit sounds and can move freely to stimulate the senses of the users. Baby swings and spring rockers will be put into service. Existing structures have also been rehabilitated and expanded; And finally installed 215 meters of continuous pavement. With respect to the other park, a swing adapted with harness and safety belt will be put into operation, the existing games will be conditioned in advance and the whole perimeter will also be covered with continuous pavement. Both spaces are intended for children and young people up to 14 years of age; Children under 36 months must be accompanied by an adult. With this action, which involved an investment of 27,000 euros, fully funded by the concessionaire company Impursa, there are three areas adapted in Benidorm. In the Parque de l'Aigüera and in the Park of Elche already acted before this year, now only remains of this first phase the commissioning of games adapted in the future Park Foietes.
