The last ordinary session of the present administration of the Board of Trustees of the Visit Benidorm Foundation was held this morning in the Plenary Hall of Benidorm City Council, chaired by Mayor Toni Pérez.
It was attended by the regional Secretary of Tourism, Francesc Colomer, who, as soon as the session began, the mayor Toni Pérez thanked "the involvement" in defense of tourism "and his commitment" to Benidorm, sharing -he said- " the goal of working together.
Pérez stressed that "Benidorm is a singularity loaded with power" and opted for "the leadership of the brands" and "loyalty"; Loyalty, he indicated, "which has been reciprocated by Colomer", with which the Foundation considered "more than deserved" the recognition that this morning was given to him when he felt, Colomer said, "just one more servant of the sector".
Colomer pointed out "the trust and friendship" that emerged with the mayor of Benidorm, whom he pointed out as "the most important institutional figure in tourism in the Valencian Community", recalling that it was his first visit as soon as he took office. And in successive visits and work contacts, he has verified "the value and meaning" of Benidorm in tourism.
The regional secretary highlighted the work of Visit Benidorm in terms of "efficiency, reputation and prestige" and concluded by stressing that "everything that it contributes to the Valencian Community can never be returned to Benidorm".
In today's session, the minutes of the previous session have been unanimously approved, the position of vice-president modified, the annual accounts approved, and the Activities Report and the #Challenge2023 Strategic Plan presented.

Finally, the mayor, as president of the Board of Trustees and the Foundation, has highlighted "the public-private alliance beyond statutory interests" and congratulated both the vice president Toni Mayor, who has been since the beginning of the Foundation and the secretary, Nuria Montes, to the Visit Benidorm team -for "having given prestige to the activity and increased the reputational value of the Benidorm brand"- and to the city, "which has accompanied the initiatives undertaken".
Toni Pérez considers the challenge of undoing inveterate clichés about the city and “breaking barriers” in promotion “overcome”.
Finally, Pérez pointed out that "today we close a cycle of the Benidorm Tourism Foundation and we enter administrative transit until the constitution of the new City Council", but "without stopping working for Benidorm".
