Benidorm incorporates four new underground waste containers in Emilio Ortuño
The Department of Road Cleaning has installed four new underground organic collection containers on Emilio Ortuño Road, at the height of the Abril building, to serve an area that until now lacked it. The containers have come into operation today.
In this case, there are four containers with a capacity of 1,100 liters each "with which we meet the needs of this area without problems", explained the Councilor for Street Cleaning, José Ramón González de Zárate, who recalled that "this place it was a black point because there was no type of container”.
With the installation of the new elements "we gain in the image and at the same time we give the neighbors facilities to take out and deposit their garbage more comfortably and cleanly" has indicated the mayor.
These underground deposits are the fifth that has been put into operation in recent months after the ones in Hort de Colón, Antonio Ramos Carratalá, Infant Square and Beniardá Avenue are already in service. "And shortly we will open one more point on which we are already working," said González de Zárate.
The councilor, finally, appealed to the residents and locals of the area "to take care of the image of Benidorm and to take into account that the public road is an extension of the living room of each one's house". He also insisted on respecting the established hours for depositing garbage in the containers, which are from 9:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
