The VIII Penya Paparinell Padel Open will be held at Palau d'Esport

Palau d'Esports l'Illa de Benidorm will host from Monday, September 26 to Sunday, October 2, the eighth edition of Penya Paparinell Padel Open, which returns, with more momentum, after the pandemic, and weeks before the start of the Festes Majors Patronals.

The Councilor for Sports, Mariló Cebreros, together with the representative of Paparinell, José Miguel Soler, 'Piri', and the president of Pádel Palau Benidorm, Juanjo Martínez, have today presented an open tournament that aims to "congregate" fans of this sport. and members of the supporters club for them to enjoy, Cebreros pointed out "of some recreational and sports days" because "mixing these two types of profiles is always good".

For his part, Juanjo Martínez has detailed that the tournament will be played in "six mixed categories": 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th "and in an exclusive women's category". Registration costs 20 euros per person and the organization hopes to have "between 70 or 80 couples", which means "approximately 350 or 360 players".

Finally, Soler, on behalf of Paparinell, thanked the City Council and the Department of Sports for their support, as well as Pádel Palau and the collaborating companies, hoping that "paddle players and fans, in general, enjoy" the tournament.

All participants will get a free technical shirt with their registration and for the winners, there will be cash prizes, details and sports equipment. Also, among those registered present who attend the final on October 2, and before the delivery of trophies, gifts will be raffled.
