To the already complete poster of performances that includes Gonzalo Hermida, finalist of the Benidorm Fest, the semifinalists Marta Sango, Javiera Mena and Unique, as well as Levi Díaz, representative of Spain in Junior Eurovision 2021, the Benidorm Fest Eurovision 2022 pre-party will be a point of live connection for RTVE in its programming on Saturday, May 14, before and after the Eurovision final that takes place in the Italian city of Turin and in which Spain will be represented by the winner of the Benidorm Fest, Chanel, and her song ' SloMo'.
The Euro party Benidorm Fest Eurovision 2022 is organized by the City Council and will start with a DJ show at 6:00 p.m. It will be a free access show, making room for the public who wants to come and share the Eurovision night in the Plaza de la Hispanidad.
As announced by the mayor, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Events, Jesús Carrobles, for this event, with a capacity of 4,000 people, the City Council will have a stage for the performances and 3 giant screens from which, starting at 9:00 p.m. hours, you can follow the final in Turin. In addition, on the occasion of this event, the 'techno landmark' of the Plaza de la Hispanidad will capitalize on the best images.
As the mayor pointed out, “with this Pre-Party, the city turns to Eurovision as it did last January with the first edition of Benidorm Fest, with which we join our name to that of a contest that each year brings together millions of people on the screens. of people not only from the European continent”. “200 million viewers who will know about Benidorm during the Eurovision final”.
From RTVE, connections have been confirmed before and after the broadcast of the final from Turin, transferring the atmosphere that is lived in Benidorm that afternoon-night. The sensations before the final and the evaluation of the artists who encourage the Pre Party from Benidorm will be the objective of the cameras in the programming of La 1 de RTVE.
