'Benidorm fet a mà' campaign promotes an increasingly specialized trade among residents and tourists

Traditional trade of La Cala de Benidorm, firm bet for personalized service

28 March 2018
Comercio tradicional de La Cala de Benidorm, apuesta en firme por el trato personalizado

The promotion campaign of the traditional trade 'Benidorm fet a mà', organized by the councils of Commerce and Employment, in collaboration with the students of the first degree of Marketing and Advertising of the IES Pere Maria Orts i Bosch, has visited this morning some of the establishments of La Cala de Benidorm, coinciding with the arrival of the bulk of visitors to the city during Holy Week.

Those responsible for Trade and Employment, Ana Pellicer and Mª Jesús Pinto, accompanied the student Laura Ortega in the recording of the videos despite the fact that, officially, they have already started their vacations at the high school. In total, five establishments have participated: Eolo Stationery, Amigo Sancho Carnage, Ecoseco Dry Cleaner, La Cala Butchery and Tagarina Herbalist.

Ana Pellicer pointed out that La Cala "despite being a quiet area, residential and far from the urban center, offers visitors all kinds of services" and highlighted the "non-seasonal" business coexistence "whose target audience are tourists with establishments of those of all the life, that offer a specialized and personalized service throughout the year, and not only in high season ".

Pellicer, who has appreciated the work and effort made by the students of the Pere Maria, has stressed that with the 'Benidorm fet a mà' "the neighborhoods of the city are promoted as shopping centers" and a "commercial fabric that generates in the long run, it will benefit the rest of the services and attractions offered by the city. " Finally, the head of Commerce recalled that much of this campaign "will be publicized in English" with the aim of "loyalty to resident foreigners and attract seasonal tourists."

Next week, the cameras of 'Benidorm fet a mà' will move to the north area of Avenida de Beniardà. The establishments that are interested in participating may contact the Department of Commerce, Industry and Consumer Affairs in the town hall building.
