Toni Nadal addresses in Benidorm the importance of resilience in professional development and success

Conferencia Toni Nadal

Toni Nadal, tennis coach and coach for 27 years of the great Rafa Nadal, addressed yesterday at a conference in Benidorm the importance of resilience to achieve better professional development and as the key to success. A conference entitled 'Everything can be trained', was held at the Hotel Bali, which achieved almost full capacity and was jointly organized by Jovempa and the Opinion Club with the support of the Department of Employment and Local Development.

Among those attending this event were the mayor, Toni Pérez; the Councilor for Employment, Mónica Gómez; the presidents of the Opinion Club and Jovempa, Manuel Ciges, and Ramón Soriano; members of the Corporation; and partners of both entities.

Based on his experience as a coach, the current Sports Technical Director of the Rafa Nadal Academy assured that "improvement is always necessary and possible", that "the only failure is not giving everything and not trying" and maintained that it is essential to leave space “for self-criticism”, to have an “attitude” and perseverance.

Likewise, he stressed that within a sports, business, or vital career what makes the difference is "resilience", the ability to "reaffirm oneself in difficult moments", "overcome" and "fight" with "illusion, confidence and spirit winner” knowing “who you are and where you want to go”.

At the end of the conference, the mayor gave Toni Nadal a copy of 'El Encanto de Babel. De las Geografías e Historias de Benidorm', by Albert Alcaraz and the graphic humorist José Rubio Malagón. A work, said Toni Pérez, with which to discover and learn about the essence and trajectory of Benidorm, a city that throughout its history has been an example of "resilience".
