Requests must be made electronically by the Web site until November 2
Tomorrow the deadline opens to request new grants for the local commerce to minimize the effects of Covid-19
Tomorrow, Saturday, October 24, the deadline opens to request the new grants aimed at local commerce launched by Benidorm City Council to minimize the impact of Covid-19 and which are financed through a grant of 196,960 euros granted by the Provincial Council of Alicante. The Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, recalled that "SMEs, micro-SMEs and freelancers who carry out their commercial activity in Benidorm have a period of 10 calendar days to apply for these grants." A period that ends, therefore, at 11:59 p.m. on November 2.
Gómez explained that “the application must be submitted and processed electronically through the municipal Web site (https://benidorm.org/inicio), accessing the Catalog of Procedures, in which a reference to these grants will appear, addressed to the commercial retail establishments in Benidorm that as a result of the state of alarm had to close temporarily or saw their turnover significantly reduced ”.
Initially, the grant provides for a maximum amount per establishment of 400 euros. However, if the anticipated 196,690 euros are not exhausted with the approved applications, the grant per establishment will increase depending on the number of beneficiaries.
The Councilor for Employment has clarified that "SMEs and freelancers registered in group 65 of the Economic Activities Tax - except for groups 652 and 655, and headings 6532, 6534, 6535 and 6592 - can apply for these grants. March 14, that suspended their activity due to the entry into force of the alarm state or that they see the establishment's billing for the months of April and May reduced by at least 50% compared to the previous calendar semester ”.
Gómez has indicated that expenses such as "the monthly rent of the business or commercial vehicles 100% affected by the business activity affected by the pandemic are considered as" eligible items ". Also, eligible items will be "consulting and advisory expenses incurred as a result of the state of alarm or those corresponding to the supply of energy, water, telephone or internet for the business."
The criteria for granting subsidies among applicants who meet all the requirements established in the bases and until the available credit is finished, will be the order of presentation of the application.
