There are still places free for the month of August

‘Summer 2021’ starts with the participation of the first 48 young people

06 July 2021
Arranca ‘Verano 2021’ con la participación de los primeros 48 jóvenes

The program of children's and youth activities ‘Summer 2021’ has started with 48 minors registered and four monitors specialized in education and free time. With this initiative, the Youth Council headed by Jaime Jesús Pérez, seeks to "facilitate the reconciliation of work and family life and encourage participation during the summer holidays," the councillor recalled.
Jaime Jesús Pérez, together with the acting mayor, Ana Pellicer, and the councilor, Lourdes Caselles, have welcomed those registered in the first shift of ‘Summer 2021’ at CEIP Ausiàs March where Youth department has centralized the activities.
With ‘Summer 2021’ "minors can enjoy their holidays and their parents can continue their work activities normally in the high season months in Benidorm", now that the tourism industry "begins to take off after the pandemic."
From July 5 to 16, the first shift of ‘Summer 2021’ takes place; the second will take place between the 19th and the 30th. In August there will be two more: from the 2nd to the 13th and from the 16th to the 27th. Jaime Jesús Pérez has indicated that "although there are few, there are still some places left", although every day, fewer. The cost for a fortnight is only 25 euros.

Historical heritage of Benidorm

Many activities will take place outside Ausiàs March school center, as Pérez has emphasized, “promote and enhance the culture and historical heritage of Benidorm”. In this way, young people will move to such emblematic enclaves as Torre de les Caletes, El Tossal de La Cala and its Roman castellum and El Castell.
Visits to Boca del Calvari Museum, Hort de Colón and the town hall building are also planned, where young people will be treated at the Youth Information Center (CIJ). To all this are added activities such as workshops, practical cooking, development of emotional intelligence, sports, board and role-playing games, hiking, the environment, cinema forum and much more.
