The weekly interviews that the heads of the departments of Citizen Participation, Works and Street Cleaning, Ana Pellicer and José Ramón González de Zárate, conduct to the neighborhood associations of Benidorm, have moved today to the neighborhood of Els Tolls. The councillors and the board of the neighborhood association have held a working meeting today in the Administrative Extension of the neighborhood.
The president of the association, Juan Antonio Lizancos, congratulated the councilors for the neighborhood situation. "The streets are clean," he said. He also welcomed the improvements made in terms of accessibility and the "big projects" that will be carried out with the implementation of the Edusi (Strategy for Sustainable and Integral Urban Development).
After the meeting, Ana Pellicer has corresponded to the support received from the association. "This type of words is always appreciated - he said - because the work that has been done during the previous term in cleaning, accessibility, mobility or gardening work is recognized." However, the association has also emphasized the need for new urgent actions in Els Tolls that "will be undertaken in the short term" has pointed out the councilor, related, especially, in the parks and gardens of the neighborhood.
Regarding the development of the Edusi, Pellicer has specified that it has been, among other issues, the construction of the future Civic Center “which will be located in the current Bullring”, the Mediation Center and the Multipurpose Room that will provide accessibility from Avenida de l'Aigüera to Austria street. “Three actions - stressed the councillor - that within the framework of EDUSI will improve in a very visible way the neighborhood of Els Tolls.
