Street Cleaning, González de Zárate, disinfection of buildings

20 January 2021
Benidorm reactiva el servici de desinfecció d'accessos a edificis i comunitats...

The City Council maintains the daily disinfection tasks of public and essential spaces, and reinforces them with a specific brigade of public roads

Benidorm City Council reactivates the disinfection service of the accesses and common areas of buildings and communities, as announced today by the mayor, Toni Pérez. A service that was very well received in the first months of the pandemic and that is now being resumed, complementing the disinfection of public spaces that are carried out daily by the City Council through the concessionary company of road cleaning, FCC.

This service contemplates the disinfection of the arcades, portals and exterior patios of the communities of owners that request it, as well as the areas of common use open to the use and transit of the neighbors and at no cost to the communities.

Toni Pérez has detailed that "as in the previous occasion, the buildings and interested communities may request this service just by sending an email to the address cleaningviaria@benidorm.org", providing the full address, name and telephone number of the contact person. This last aspect is essential so that the disinfection tasks also reach the areas of common use and passage.

The service will be provided from Monday to Sunday, in morning and afternoon shifts by a brigade of 7 workers. The councillor has reported that the service will be operational as of next Monday, January 25, although requests can be sent as of this Thursday, the 21st.

The mayor has stressed that in parallel the City Council will maintain the other disinfection and fight against Covid19 services. On the one hand, with the disinfection service on public roads and by neighborhoods that began last week, which is made up of 6 workers and which takes place in the morning. On the other, with the daily disinfection that has been carried out since March in public spaces, accesses to health centers and health establishments, social centers, elderly care centers, essential services, parks and walks, bus stops and entrances and exits to the schools. This service is provided with the spray cannon incorporated in July, a van, 3 hydro flushing machines, and 2 container washing machines.

In total, "for all these actions, an uninterrupted device is established from Monday to Sunday made up of 21 people from the Benidorm cleaning service."
