Six new collaborating entities sign their adhesion to Pacte per l’Ocupació de la Marina Baixa

Seis nuevas entidades colaboradoras firman su adhesión al Pacte per l’Ocupació de la Marina Baixa

Six entities have joined this Wednesday as collaborators in Pacte per l'Ocupació de la Marina Baixa (POMB), a body chaired by Benidorm City Council in the figure of the mayor of Employment and Local Promotion, Mónica Gómez, and whose objective is to improve employability, training and conditions for access to the labour market in the region, working on different lines of action.

The new collaborating entities of the Pacte, whose membership was approved in the last Governing Council of the body, are the Association of Hoteliers and Entrepreneurs of Altea (AHEA); the Local Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Altea (ALCEA); the Association of Concessionaire Merchants of Altea Municipal Market; the Spanish Confederation of People with Disabilities (COCEMFE); the Valencian Federation of Associated Work Cooperative Companies (FEVECTA); and the National Organization of the Spanish Blind (ONCE).

Their incorporation into this work body, which also includes the city councils of the 18 municipalities of the Marina Baixa, the unions Comisiones Obreras and UGT, and the business confederation CEV, has been formalized in a meeting chaired by the president of Pacte, Mónica Gómez, in which the mayor of Benimantell, José Manuel Andreu, who holds the vice presidency of the Pacte, has also participated.

Gómez welcomed all the new collaborating entities and thanked them for "their involvement" so that "all together we can continue adding work and efforts to improve training and employment in all the municipalities of our region."

Pacte per l'Ocupació de la Marina Baixa was established on March 10, 2023, with the signature of the representatives of the 18 municipalities, together with CC OO, UGT and CEV, demonstrating the improvement of the labour insertion of priority groups – young people, women and those over 45 years of age – and the promotion of specialized vocational training, as well as business management capacity. With the new memberships formalized today, it has 26 collaborating entities, including business and social organizations, organizations and educational centres.
