Security initiates the selective tests to cover 10 places of interim of the Local Police in the section of Beaches
More than 140 candidates make this afternoon the psycho-technical test
The government is considering convening a dozen service commissions to strengthen the workforce
Benidorm City Council starts this afternoon the selective process to cover 10 places of temporary agents of the Local Police that will strengthen the section of beaches during the high season. The Councilor for Citizen Security, Lorenzo Martínez, explained that they will "try to have these agents for this Holy Week", something that will be possible if the tests are developed without incidents during the next two weeks.
In total, more than 140 applicants will perform this afternoon the first test, the psychotechnical test. Those who overcome it will face the physical tests. Subsequently the test type test, the personal interview and the assessment of merits will take place.
Martínez said that "within the commitment of this government to increase the staff of the Local Police we are seriously considering making new service commissions to increase the strength of ten more agents."
With these service commissions - agents from other localities - plus the ten interim, the police reinforcement would be 20 troops for this summer "or until the final seats" approved by the plenary. The councillor said that "we hope that the selective process by opposition" to cover these 20 seats approved by the corporation "start as soon as possible."
Martínez has pointed out that "from the government we want to equip the body of the Local Police with the largest possible number of agents, since the success of our destination and continuing to be an engine in tourism depends also on the perception of security that our tourists and neighbors have ".
