The City Council presents to the neighbors some works that will begin before the end of the year
Rincón de Loix will show off new asphalt on Paris and Londres streets and on the climb to the Cross
The campaign 'A pie de calle' organized jointly by Benidorm City Council and the Neighborhood Council, has brought together representatives of Rincón de Loix neighborhood associations with the councilors of Citizen Participation, Ana Pellicer, and of Works, José Ramón González de Zárate, to learn about the actions that will take place in the neighborhood before the end of the year.
Ana Pellicer recalled that 'A pie de calle' is a campaign that "brings its administration closer to neighbors" and that "collects their proposals" so that "reciprocally" optimize the actions in our neighborhoods "improving and increasing safety and security. accessibility of our city ”.
Specifically, in Rincón de Loix, the City Council has planned the "resurfacing and improvement" of Paris and Londres streets, to which should be added "the section that goes up to La Cruz from Pequín Street." The other action that will begin shortly will be "accessibility" on the sidewalks of Alcalde Catalán Chana Avenue.
The person in charge of Citizen Participation recalled that this is the third meeting with neighbors, after those held in La Cala and La Huerta, in which associations are shown “the actions that we are going to carry out before the end of the year” that, he insisted, they will take place "in all neighborhoods."
For his part, the Councilor for Works, has emphasized municipal projects that seek to "enhance" two of the "most important areas of Benidorm" such as Tossal de La Cala and Cruz de Serra Gelada, in Rincón de Loix. The sections that will go up to these two unique points will be rehabilitated and will have sidewalks no road so that anyone who wishes can "access quietly on foot", he specified.
"We want to highlight La Cruz and El Tossal," said González de Zárate. Also the surrounding streets. In El Rincón “from Ametlla de Mar to Viena street will be improved.”. Likewise, he highlighted the actions to improve the urban scene on the sidewalks of Paris Street that complement "the performance we did last year on Londres Street." To this will soon be added the work already approved on Roma Street and it is “waiting” for two other “important projects”, on Montecarlo and Estocolmo streets.
González de Zárate has clarified that all these municipal interventions in El Rincón respond to the commitment of the current government team, "when they stood for the elections", to implement the urban scene and services "of the entire upper part of Rincón" so that the whole neighborhood can improve its "storm drains, sewers, drinking water, lighting and, of course, accessibility with much wider sidewalks and much better asphalt."
