The rain and wind storm is settled in Benidorm without incident and with an average of 50 liters
The storm of rain and wind has settled in Benidorm "without serious incidents" and "with an average of 50 liters per square meter of rainfall collected from Tuesday until today," as reported by the councilor of Water Cycle and Public Space, José Ramón González de Zárate. The councillor has indicated that during this episode "it has rained abundantly, but well", and stressed that "both underground and surface infrastructures have responded and worked perfectly" which shows that "things are being done well "
De Zárate has moved that during the three days “it has rained irregularly in the municipality, since rainfall has been more intense in the downtown area and in La Cala, while in Rincón de Loix the volume has been much lower yesterday and today, as confirmed by the data collected in the different rain gauges in the city ”. Thus, in the rain gauge located in the Drinking Water Treatment Station (ETAP), 57 liters per square meter have been accumulated between the three days; 29 liters, in the Rincon de Loix; and 64, in the one located in the area of El Murtal ”.
The State Meteorological Agency has already withdrawn the yellow alert for rains on the southern coast of Alicante, where Benidorm is located.
