La Diputación subvenciona la exposición de carteles contra la violencia de género de los alumnos del IES Pere Mª Orts i Bosch

The Provincial Council of Alicante has granted a subsidy of 1,485 euros to Benidorm City Council for the exhibition of posters against gender violence carried out by students of 2nd Artistic Baccalaureate of the IES Pere Mª Orts and Bosch. An exhibition that premiered in the educational center coinciding with the commemoration of the International Day against Gender Violence, and which was subsequently exhibited in the Espai d’Art of the City Council and Los Carrascos; in the ‘muppis’ installed in the main roads of the city; in IES Beatriu Fajardo, La Malladeta de Villajoyosa and that of La Nucía; and in the House of Culture of Guardamar de la Safor.

The Department of Equality requested help within the call for grants to carry out programs and activities for the prevention and eradication of gender violence.

The exhibition was composed of 27 posters designed by 24 students who, with clear messages and in a very iconic way, resorted to their creativity to address different aspects related to the social scourge of gender violence such as silence, fear or the need for break the aggression situation.

The councillor of the area, Ángela Zaragozí, has advanced that “from the Department of Equality and Culture and from the IES we are already working together in a new edition of this activity”. This third edition of the poster exhibition will be inaugurated on the occasion of the commemoration of the International Day against Gender Violence, on November 25.
