Ana Pellicer preside en Benidorm los actos del Día de la Policía

Paseo de Colón has celebrated this morning the celebration of Police Day, the festivity of the Guardian Angels, patrons of the officers of the National Police Corps.

After a religious service in the Good Shepherd Parish, the events took place in Paseo de Colón where a police section of the different departments of Benidorm Police Station remained formed in front of the invited public.

The first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer, reviewed, accompanied by the chief commissioner Ceferino Serrano Torres who in his subsequent speech celebrated cooperation with the Local Police of the region, and especially that of Benidorm, as well as the other police bodies, He pointed out the increase in personnel “which has allowed to increase the operative turn of response” and the work of the Citizen Participation Unit, higlighitng the Secutity Tourism Plan and the work of SATE.

The chief commissioner congratulated himself on cooperation with the judiciary and the prosecutor's office celebrating the achievement of pioneering restraining orders in one of the main problems affecting the local public order ”and the good security situation in Benidorm and tourism".

He congratulated the mayor of Callosa, Andrés Molina, for his performance, preventing a crime and protecting a citizen "still at risk of integrity" and was emotional in memory of the colleagues of the retired or recently deceased CNP. During the event, distinctions and medals were released to police, institutions, organizations and individuals for outstanding behavior.

For her part, the first deputy mayor Ana Pellicer, transferred in her words the recognition of the City Council for the work carried out by the men and women of the National Police, pointing out that they contribute decisively to “make Benidorm one of the safest places, something that results in our tourism projection, and to make Spain one of the safest democratic nations in the world ”, she celebrated“ the absolute respect that everyone here has for the Constitution and the rest of the legal system ”and encouraged them to“ continue working with dedication and commitment to Benidorm ”.

The anthems of the Police and of Spain closed the act, after an offering of flowers by the fallen companions in act of service.
