
Pere Maria Orts i Bosch Secondary School today opened a replica of the exhibition 'Posters against gender-based violence' that students of the High School of Art have made at the proposal of Benidorm City Council to commemorate the International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, a day that is celebrated worldwide on Monday, November 25. The act has been attended by the councilors of Equality and Culture, Ángela Zaragozí and Jaime Jesús Pérez.
Neighbors and visitors who wish may contemplate the original posters that will be displayed in the Espai d’Art in the lobby of the Benidorm City Hall until November 29.
The events of November 25 will continue tomorrow with the ‘III Regional March against Gender Violence’ which will leave at 5:00 p.m. from Plaça dels Musics de La Nucía. On Monday, at 12.00 a commemorative banner will be hung on the balcony of the Town Hall. At 13.00 at Plaza los Pinos of Els Tolls the performance ‘Bosque de Sombras’ will take place. In the afternoon, at 6:00 PM, at SSMM los Reyes de Esapaña square will leave a new solidarity march, organized by the Housewives Association.
The last activity of the event will take place on Tuesday, November 26, the presentation of the short films against Gender Violence ‘Violeta is nom de donà and ‘Documóvil’, at 18.30, in the City Hall.
