The pianist José María Villegas opens the cycle of 'Grandes Recitales 2018' organized by the Department of Culture

The cycle of 'Grandes Recitales 2018' has started today, at 8:00 p.m. in the Auditorium of Benidorm City Council, with the performance of the Sevillian pianist José María Villegas, winner of important national and international prizes. The councilwoman Angela Llorca has chaired the opening act of the concert, which has been attended by more than 200 people.

This cycle has scheduled performances for every Friday of the month of October. Thus, on October 12 the concert will be held in duo by Francisco Fullana, violinist and José María Villegas pianist. One of the novelties of this year will be the concert on the 19th, which will be offered by students from the municipal conservatory awarded at the Marina Baixa inter-center competitions. These young interpreters are Joel Conejero Nogueroles, Pablo Carbonell Galiana, Mar Navarro Ivars, Adrián Vaello Pérez, Ángela Esquerdo Soler, Sergio Comín Pérez, Antonio Albert Prats, Francisco Javier Gómez Pla and Joamba Pérez Mingot.

The closing of the cycle will be on the 26th with the duet concert of the saxophonist from Benidorms Ignacio Gascón and the pianist Ivet Frontela. All concerts will be held in the Auditorium of the City Hall at 8:00 p.m.
