The ‘Parliament of the Villa Moor Invasion’ opens the Moors and Christians Festivities
Moors and Christians Festivities of Benidorm began last night with the traditional 'Parliament of the Villa Moor Invasion', which every year gathers hundreds of residents and tourists on the Levante beach and whose audience was the Councilor for Fiestas , Jesús Carrobles, and several members of the Corporation.
After the concentration of the Christian Troops in their beach camp, the arrival of the Moorish Hosts took place, whose ambassador tried to convince the side of the Cross to leave the city. After the denial of the Christians, both sides entered into battle, decanting the victory for the Saracens.
The most relevant events of the weekend will be the 'Entrance of the Moorish and Christian Troops' tomorrow Saturday from 8 pm, as well as the 'Peace Parliament', written by Pere Mª Orts and Bosch, which will be represented in the castle installed at Plaza SSMM Reyes de España. Then, at 12.30 pm, the ‘Flower Offering’ will depart from this same point.
