120,000 euros have been allocated to this aid, which can be accessed by freelancers who ceased their activity or reduced their turnover by over 40%

Today, Monday, November 23, the term has been opened to request new municipal grants aimed at mitigating the effects of the Covid-19 crisis in the taxi sector, once the bases have been published in the Official Gazette of the Province ( BOP). Aids that can be processed electronically through the Electronic Office -https: //sede.benidorm.org/catalogo-de-servicios/MOVCOV/- until 11:59 p.m. on December 4. In the same section you can consult the requirements for access to these grants, "for which 120,000 euros have been reserved and that amount to 350 euros per beneficiary," as detailed by the Councilor for Mobility, José Ramón González de Zárate.

De Zárate recalled that "this new line of municipal grants is aimed at supporting the taxi sector, and more specifically the freelancers of taxi or VTC licenses with registered office in Benidorm who had to cease their activity as a result of the state of alarm, or that between March 14 and April 19 saw their billing reduced by at least 40% compared to the previous six months ”. In addition, "they are also open to those who have not been registered for the six calendar months required to prove the reduction in income, assessing the real period of activity where appropriate".

The Councilor for Mobility has indicated that “with these grants we want to contribute, as far as possible, to the recovery and maintenance of employment and the activity of transporting people with car-taxi, aware that this sector has been one of the most damaged nationally by the crisis derived from the pandemic ”.
