Nearly a hundred entrepreneurs attend in Benidorm the Focus Pyme Marina Baixa and Marina Alta 2019
The 'Smart Tourism' has been the theme of the Focus Pyme Marina Baixa and Marina Alta 2019, a training meeting between entrepreneurs of the two regions organized by the Employment and Local Development Agency of Benidorm City Council, the CEEI of Elche, as well as the Valencian Institute of Tourist Technologies and the area of companies of CRIAMA. The municipalities of l'Alfàs del Pi and Calpe, the Business Association of Travel Agencies (AVIBE), the Federation of Associations of Young Entrepreneurs of the Province of Alicante (JOVEMPA), the Association for the development of enterprising women of Marina Baixa (MEMBA), Umivale and UGT.
The mayor, Toni Pérez, the director of the CEEI of Elche, Joaquín Alcázar, and the Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mª Jesús Pinto, were in charge of opening this meeting, financed by the Generalitat Valenciana, the Valencian Institute of Business Competitiveness (IVACE) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF); and to which the first deputy mayor, Ana Pellicer, has attended; as well as representatives of the town councils of l'Alfàs del Pi, Finestrat and Calpe.
The director of the CEEI of Elche has reviewed the evolution of business innovation in recent decades, and has stressed the importance of "staying in innovation to take advantage of the market opportunities offered by new technologies."
For his part, the mayor has emphasized the importance of "deepening governance, with collaboration between public and private entities and administrations to promote innovation in such important aspects as sustainability or tourism intelligence." In this regard, Pérez stressed the importance of "uniting entrepreneurs from the Marina Baixa and the Marina Alta in the same space for training and driving innovation".
After the institutional opening, the 'coach' Vigela Lloret has given a conference under the title 'And if we humanize technology ?: people as a key to artificial intelligence'. Subsequently, a round table was held on 'Key Intelligent Tourism Tools: gamification, augmented reality and APPs', with the intervention of Gerson Beltrán, communication director of Play & Go Experience; and Sergio Morant, director of Evoluciona.me ', and moderated by Miguel Ángel Catalán, director of the Smart Tourist Destination project of the Finestrat City Council.
The second round table, on 'Tools and solutions for Smart Tourist Destinations', has had the intervention of Celia Romero, coordinator of the Ente Gestor DTI of Benidorm City Council; José Francisco Perles, head of the area of economic promotion of the City Council of Calpe; and Mayte Vañó, communication director in the Digital District of the Valencian Community. This table has been moderated by Mario Villar, director of Smart Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana.
