The municipal Conservatory of Music and Dance resumes its teaching activity on Monday...

"José Pérez Barceló" Municipal Conservatory of Music and Dance begins this Monday, September 28, the 2020/2021 academic year, thus resuming the face-to-face teaching activity after several months. The Councilor for Education, Maite Moreno, explained that "with a view to the start of the new school year, the Conservatory facilities have been adapted to the health guidelines and recommendations set by the Ministry of Education, while they have proceeded to readjust the ratio of students per classroom depending on the size of the rooms to ensure the safety distance at all times ”.

Moreno has reported that "like the rest of municipal educational facilities, the Conservatory has its own Contingency Plan, prepared by the City Council technicians." A Contingency Plan that is expected to be approved this afternoon and tomorrow, respectively, in the School Councils of each department, and that has been adapted to the characteristics and particularities of the building.

On September 9, the City Council's Occupational Risk Prevention technician together with the Councilor for Human Resources, Ángela Zaragozí, supervised the Conservatory facilities in order to review how the center had adapted to the draft of the Contingency Plan prepared by the technicians municipal. At that time, the center was transferred to "the operation for the entry and exit of students", has pointed out the head of Human Resources.

Since then, as detailed by Zaragozí, the City Council has provided the center with dispensers and hydroalcoholic gel, masks approved by the mutual prevention of occupational risks for teaching staff, two large screens for the common room and other individual ones for the classes of instruments - the latter will be installed in the next few hours after a delay in delivery occurs. In addition, the so-called 'Covid rooms' have been marked, which will have their mandatory 'kits'; and disposable masks are available for adults and children for possible cases of breakage or loss.

The councillor added that "we are well prepared for our students to start the course with the greatest security and with all the protocols established by Health."
