"A space that belongs to the town of Benidorm" turned into a neighborhood meeting point
The new Municipal branch and Neighborhood Center in Maravall Street will enter into service at the beginning of 2021

A representation of the Neighborhood Council and the neighborhood associations of Plaza de España and Alfredo Corral, have visited what will be the future Municipal branch in Maravall street that will be built where the old 'Casa Andalusia ' was.
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councilors of Administrative Extensions, Mónica Gómez; Citizen Participation, Ana Pellicer; and Espacio Público, José Ramón González de Zárate, have accompanied the neighborhood community to the new municipal facility. In a neighborhood that stopped enjoying this service, because the building where it was located, in Limones street, did not comply with the required regulations.
Toni Pérez recalled that "a great effort was made last year" to acquire a property in the neighborhood. Precisely "at the heart" of what is the project of the Sustainable and Integrated Urban Development Strategy (Edusi). An area "where we are going to act a lot in the coming years" and of which this Municipal branch is "the foundation stone".
The mayor has detailed that it will be "a very solvent facility, with a large number of meters." "A space that belongs to the town of Benidorm", he stressed, which will allow people who live around "not to have to go to the Town Hall" to make their municipal procedures. Likewise, the new premises will "promote neighborhood activity", since it will be a meeting point for adjacent neighborhood associations.
The construction project of the Municipal brach in the old ‘Casa de Andalucía’ will be developed by Municipal Technicians. "In a period of about five months - the mayor has specified - it will be completed and open to the public", as well as the neighborhood center. A "long-awaited and very necessary service that the City Council is going to promote" in a municipal property that, because it is, "offers many guarantees of durability in the future."
The new Administrative Extension of Maravall Street can also be accessed from Mercurio Street. In addition to this, Benidorm, has those that already provide service in Els Tolls-Salt de l'Aigua (Avenida Andalucía, 9), Foietes-Colonia Madrid (Avenida Beniardà, 61), La Cala (Calle Secretario Juan Baldoví, 2) and in Rincón de Loix (Avenida Juan Fuster Zaragoza, 1 acc.)
