More than 7,000 people have visited the exhibition 'Orography of the road' by the prestigious photographer Manuel Outumuro who this Tuesday said goodbye to the Boca del Calvari Museum, as reported today by the Councilor for Historical and Cultural Heritage, Ana Pellicer. As the councillor recalled, “This exhibition, curated by Imma Cortés, from the Photographic Social Vision foundation, has allowed viewers to learn about Outumuro's style and to delve into his editing process of analogue photography".
Specifically, 'Orografía del camino' is composed of contact sheets, of 150x100 centimetres; an essential tool to specify the choice of photographs taken with greater rigour.” Among the protagonists of these contact sheets are well-known faces of Spanish cinema, since throughout his career there have been constant collaborations with publications linked to the world of fashion and cinematography.
Pellicer has highlighted that "this exhibition has invited the public to practice an exercise that goes beyond contemplation", since "they have been encouraged to interact, to make decisions, to opt for one image over others to, ultimately, check if the chosen photograph matches the one that Outumuro himself chose at the time.”
The person in charge of Historical and Cultural Heritage has assured that “it has been a pleasure to capture the interest of the artist and to have enjoyed his work in Benidorm for just over four months”; and she has encouraged those who have not yet seen 'Orografía del Camino' to "hurry up these last few hours to get closer to our Boca del Calvari Museum."
And those who cannot do so, "will soon have the opportunity to experience this exhibition on the Benidorm Virtual project website, with which we ensure that the temporary exhibitions that pass through our museum become permanent and can be visited or revisited at any time from any location." Place of the world".
Soon 'Orografía del camino' will be available at https://www.benidormvirtual.com/. The next Boca del Calvari Museum exhibition will be presented in the coming weeks.
