The work will consist of repairing some pipes and will not require cutting off circulation
Mobility reports on traffic problems next Monday and Tuesday due to works in Ametlla del Mar
The Department of Mobility of Benidorm City Council has reported on the traffic problems that will occur at the beginning of next week due to some works that will be carried out on Avenida de l'Ametlla de Mar. Specifically, they will begin on Monday, May 27, and are scheduled to end a day later, on Tuesday, the 28th. The department councillor, Francis Muñoz, has indicated that the work will consist of repairing the damages caused by the channelling of two pipes of .125 located above the head of the d.800 drive pipe trench and that they will initially last for two days.
Muñoz has also explained that the execution of these works has been planned so that it will not be necessary to cut off traffic in either direction of the road. Thus, given the action will be carried out on the right traffic lane towards the sea, both this lane and the central bike lane will be disabled, but the parking lane will be adapted to circulate in that direction, where parking will not be possible for the duration of the works.
Likewise, about bicycles, they must circulate on the light vehicle road, so that, except for "specific" circumstances, all traffic on the road may continue to flow normally.
As a result of this action, it is also planned to move the containers on the corner of Juan Fuster Zaragoza Avenue to the sidewalk, maintaining the current location.
Once the repair of the pipeline is completed, the company in charge of carrying out the work will restore all the elements of this road to their original state, including the horizontal signage that may have been affected. If its execution on the 28th is not feasible, it will be carried out the following day, Wednesday the 29th, at night or during the day depending on the availability of equipment.
