Great reception for the closing concert of 'L'Escola canta' project held in Julio Iglesias auditorium

24 May 2024
Gran acogida del concierto de clausura del proyecto ‘L’Escola canta’ celebrado en el auditorio Julio Iglesias

Yesterday, Thursday afternoon, some 250 Benidorm Primary students offered the closing concert of the 'L'escola canta' project, in which five educational centres in the city have participated in this 2023/2024 academic year. This project premiered last year in Benidorm and this edition, it has had the collaboration of the band of the Municipal Conservatory of Music 'José Pérez Barceló', directed by José Miguel Moyá Calvo.

Thus, the conservatory band accompanied the students of CEIP Ausiàs March, Vasco Núñez de Balboa, Bautista Lledó, Aitana and Els Tolls on the stage of the Julio Iglesias auditorium in Parque de l'Aigüera.

The lyrics of the songs that were performed were allusive to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and between pieces of music, a small theatrical plot was developed by Ausias March students to link the seven musical works.

The councillors of Culture and Education, Jaime Jesús Pérez and Maite Moreno attended the concert also by some members of the local corporation. One of the objectives of this activity is to establish links between educational centres and municipal music entities and schools to develop artistic and musical skills in students.
