Mobility reports on traffic problems due to Benidorm Fest event

During those days, access to the old town will only be via Sacerdote Juan Rodríguez Street.

The Department of Mobility has reported today about the traffic problems that will occur in the coming days on the occasion of the third edition of Benidorm Fest, an event in which Spain's next representative in Eurovision will be chosen. Like last year, in parallel to the galas planned at Palau d'Esports l'Illa, the City Council has scheduled musical activities, part of which will take place at the foot of the 'technohito' of Plaza de la Hispanidad, where assembly work begins tomorrow.

Therefore, from 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday the 30th until noon on Sunday the 4th, the square and El Puente Street will be closed to traffic, so access to the old town will be via Sacerdote Juan Rodríguez Street. From there, the vehicles will continue along Alcoy Avenue and Valencia Street until they reach Doctor Pérez Llorca Street. In turn, vehicles travelling on Avenida del Mediterráneo must continue along Esperanto Street.

In addition to this general cut, on Friday, February 2, due to the celebration of the Great International Euroclub Party at Plaza de la Hispanidad, between 4:00 p.m. and 2:00 a.m. access to Mediterráneo from Orts Llorca Street will be cut off. This cut will affect vehicles in general except for residents of the old town, who will be able to circulate until Sacerdote Juan Rodríguez Street.
