Mayor Toni Pérez welcomes the board of directors of Women 2000 association on its 25th anniversary

The Mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, accompanied by the Councilor for Equality, Ángela Zaragozí, met this afternoon with the new board of directors of the association "Mujeres 2000," founded in late 1999 to promote women's active participation in the city's social and community life and offering counselling, workshops, training, and leisure activities.

The president of "Mujeres 2000," Conchi García, shared with the mayor some of the most imminent projects they plan to implement, especially during 2025, when the association will commemorate its 25th anniversary. Among them is the "Grand Festival," which they are organizing for next Friday, March 28, at "La Torreta" Social Center, to commemorate the organization's silver anniversary.

In addition to Conchi García, the association's secretary, Isabel Castillo, also participated in this meeting; and the treasurer, Mari Carmen del Pozo. The mayor wished them "a year filled with success" and praised "the tremendous work" carried out by associations like 'Mujeres 2000' to promote equality and participation in the city.
