Tomorrow will be the big day of the Josefinas festivities with the Float Parade and the burning of the monuments
Benidorm Fallas make an offering to the Virgin Mary despite the rains this afternoon

This afternoon, Benidorm experienced one of the most moving events of its 2025 Fallas festivities, with the traditional Flower Offering to Our Lady of Sofratge, which, despite the rain, was celebrated in a good atmosphere
The three Fallas committees of Benidorm: Els Tolls, Rincón de Loix, and Benidorm Centro, gathered at 5:30 p.m. at Plaza de SS Majestades de España, next to the Town Hall, to begin the parade that took them to the Church of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna, where they presented offerings to the patroness saint of Benidorm, Our Lady of Sorrows.
The banner of the Local Fallas Committee led the procession, followed by the members of the three committees and their Fallas Mayores: Teresa Peris (Els Tolls), Olaya García and Ariadna Orgilés (Rincón de Loix), and Laura Pascual and Adriana Baldó (Benidorm Centro).
Also participating were the president of the Local Fallas Committee, María Ángeles Espinosa; the Senior and Junior Queens of the 2025 Festes Majors Patronals, Paula Pascual and Aitana Pérez; The president of the Commission, Susana Martínez, and the president of the Association of Verge del Sofratge Penyes, Jonathan López. The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the councillor for Fiestas, Mariló Cebreros, led the institutional delegation, which included other members of the corporation and the regional deputy, José Ramón González de Zárate.
The parade made its way through the historic centre of the city to Plaça Sant Jaume, under the gaze of hundreds of residents and visitors who, protected by umbrellas, enjoyed the colourful traditional Valencian clothing and the music played by SM l'Illa de Benidorm until the halfway point and by the Xirimiters de la Marina until the end.
The rain prevented the traditional flower bed at Plaça de Castelar. However, thanks to the swift action of the Fiestas Department and the parish priest of Sant Jaume i Santa Anna, Juan Antonio González, the event was able to take place without losing its brilliance inside the church, where the commissioners laid their bouquets in honour of the patron saint of Benidorm.
After the floral offering, the mayor of Benidorm took the floor to express his gratitude for the "joy" with which the Fallas members weathered the rainy afternoon and for the support received from the parish. Toni Pérez emphasized that the Fallas are "one of the most important festivities" in Benidorm and the Valencian Community and wished "a very good day tomorrow," the big day of the Fallas, a festivity "declared an intangible heritage of humanity," he recalled.
Tomorrow, Wednesday, March 19, the Benidorm Fallas will commemorate their patron saint, Saint Joseph, with various activities in community centres and neighbourhoods. In the afternoon, at 6:30 p.m., the Float Parade will begin on Ametlla de Mar Avenue and continue along the Mediterranean to the Plaza de la Hispanidad. The children's fallas will be burned at 10:30 p.m., and the older ones at 11:30 p.m. in Racó de Loix, Benidorm Centro, and Els Tolls.
