Toni Pérez celebrates that 4,000 tourist rental flats have surfaced in the last four-month period

The mayor opens the day of Aptur about taxation of apartments and tourist homes

El alcalde abre la jornada de Aptur sobre fiscalidad de apartamentos y viviendas turísticas

The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has valued positively that over the last four months there have been around 4,000 apartments that from now on will contribute to the Public Treasury as a tourist rental. Pérez stressed that this is the result of the efforts of Aptur "and the active listening of the regional and local administration" to improve the tax contribution of the sector.

The mayor made this assessment during the opening of the technical conference organized by the Association of Tourist Apartment Companies of the Costa Blanca (Aptur), which has gathered this morning in the auditorium of Invat.tur to professionals in the sector, along with the general director of Tourism of the Generalitat Valenciana, Raquel Huete, and the president of Aptur, Miguel Ángel Sotillos.

The mayor welcomed the attendees and congratulated Aptur for their "continuous efforts to improve their services because tourism, in the end, is a sum of many things, and the permanent self-training that is practiced in Aptur, is also an improvement of the destination tourist".

On this occasion, the technical conference focused on the taxation of apartments and tourist homes and the presentations were made by the economist and tax advisor Federico Javier Varona.

Toni Pérez, thanked Aptur for bringing to Benidorm prestigious professionals "to learn and to improve" and highlighted the effort of awareness that makes for the emergence of the tourist rental tax. "You are committed to the territory and to society," he said, "because there is a lot of talk about the distribution of wealth, that the welfare state is supported by everyone's tax, and we know that from here you have fought so that everyone comply with taxation.
