The mayor meets the promoters of the rally in which state aid has been claimed for commerce and hospitality
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has met the business entities convening the rally that, under the slogan "That's Enough", has been held at Plaza de SSMM Reyes de España in defense of the hotel and commercial sectors. A rally in which state aid has been claimed for both sectors, hard hit by the crisis derived from Covid-19. In addition to the mayor, the Councilor for Employment, Mónica Gómez; and the presidents of Abreca, Javier del Castillo; Cobreca, Pablo González; AICO, Raúl Parra; Ociobal, Víctor Navarro. Several representatives of these entities have joined the meeting as well as the executive director of the Association of Distribution Companies to Horeca (ADISLEV), Bernardo M. Pérez.
During the meeting, the representatives of the entities have informed the mayor of the latest data on the economic impact of these crisis on both sectors in the city. In addition, they have transferred the content of their main demands, which in general terms have been seconded by the mayor.
Prior to the meeting, the mayor has followed the rally from the same square, together with the councillorof Employment, Mónica Gómez, and the Councilor for Commerce, Lorenzo Martínez, and several members of the municipal Corporation.
