Experts of the departments of Secretary and Engineering detail the specifications in the Board of Spokesmen and reiterate that the procedure is correct
The mayor announces a new extraordinary plenary session to make viable the tender for the renovation of Mediterráneo Avenue
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, has convened for next Monday, June 18, a new extraordinary plenary session to give viability to the approval of the economic and administrative specifications that should govern the tender for the works of the first phase of remodeling and renovation of Mediterráneo Avenue.
The call comes after the Board of Spokesmen held this afternoon, in which the municipal technicians of the areas of Secretariat and Engineering have explained in detail the bidding and bidding, and in which they have reiterated that the proposed procedure - analogous to that proposed in the extraordinary plenary session last Monday- is correct and adjusted to the law.
Thus, in the Board of Spokespeople, the experts have again exposed the percentage of the cost of the work that the City Council will assume - something less than 25% -, and the one that will be paid from the Annual Renewal Fund of the water and sewer contract -75.44% -, detailing both concepts. In addition, they have responded to the questions raised by the members of the corporation present.
This Board of Spokespersons has been held on the same day that the Official Gazette of the Province (BOP) of Alicante has published the final approval of the municipal budget of the City Council of Benidorm 2018. The publication of the document supposes to unblock all the investment items included in the accounts for 2018, including the one planned for the first phase of the remodeling of the avenue of the Mediterranean, amounting to one million euros. A total of just over 800,000 euros will be added to this appropriation, which will be taken care of by the Public Roads link exchange. It is planned that the Intervention area will make the credit retention for that amount tomorrow.
The first phase of remodeling of Mediterráneo Avenue has a biannual character and, therefore, will have to finance with charge to the budgetary exercises of 2018 and 2019. The total cost of the execution of the project is encrypted in around 11,4 million euros , of which the City Council must provide 2.8 million in two years. The rest of the cost will be assumed from the Renewal Fund of the water contract, estimated at 4.5 million euros per year.
In addition to the renovation of the entire subsoil and surface of the avenue from Puente Street to Europa Avenue, the project includes the remodeling of these two roads and the pending section of Doctor Pérez Llorca Street, Valencia Street, Bilbao Avenue and Emilio Romero street.
