Marina Baixa Employment Pact, chaired by Benidorm, hires technical and administrative staff
The Territorial Pact for Employment of the Marina Baixa, chaired by Benidorm City Council, has already hired the technical and administrative staff that will be in charge of carrying out the different projects to be carried out from May 23, 2023, to December 31 of 2024.
The Councilor for Employment and Local Promotion and representative of Benidorm City Council on the Governing Council, Mónica Gómez, stressed that "with the incorporation of this staff, the Territorial Pact project is launched to promote actions aimed at improving the job placement, as well as optimizing the supply and demand relationship for vocational training in the Marina Baixa region”.
The selection process for contracted personnel has been carried out by a commission made up of the Benidorm, Finestrat, Altea, and l'Alfàs del Pi town halls and by the UGT and CCOO unions. Finally, a labor insertion technician has been hired, who will act as coordinator of the actions of the Pact; a company training and prospecting technician; and an administrative These contracts will be paid for by a subsidy from the Avalem Territory program, financed by Labora, through funds from the SEPE.
This morning the mayor of the city, Toni Pérez, received them in the Mayor's office where he wished them "to carry out their work at the height of the position they occupy" and highlighted the "great importance" of the Employment Pact of the Marina Baixa "for the development of actions aimed at employment guidance in the region, especially towards young people, women and people over 45 years of age".
This subsidy from the Ministry of Sustainable Economy, Productive Sectors, Commerce, and Labor amounts to 194,541.67 euros. It will be used to finance the salary and social security costs of the personnel hired until December 31, 2024, as well as to cover the costs of materials and publicity necessary to carry out the project.
The Territorial Pact for Employment of the Marina Baixa will develop various job actions, "coordinating different initiatives to insert job seekers into the labor market," the councilor pointed out.
In addition, "different actions will be carried out to optimize the relationship between supply and demand in the labor market of the Marina Baixa, with special attention to the group of young people".
Through the Pact project, the aim is to update the territorial diagnosis of Marina Baixa area, within the framework of the Avalem Territory program, in collaboration with the University of Alicante.
On May 3, the Technical Commission of the Territorial Pact for Employment of the Marina Baixa was established in Benidorm, made up of the technical staff of the town halls that are members of the pact, as well as representatives of the CCOO and UGT unions and the CEV employers' association. The Technical Commission is responsible for designing and preparing the documents, projects, proposals, and studies requested by the Governing Council and will be carried out by the technical and administrative staff hired.
