Licences to park in the ‘Resident Zone’, valid until the end of June
The Department of Mobility directed by José Ramón González de Zárate has extended until June 30, 2021 the validity of the licences to park in the 'Resident Zone' granted to date to more than 20,000 vehicles of people registered in Benidorm and companies with tax domicile in the city. De Zárate recalled that "days after the state of alarm was decreed and due to the lock down, it was decided to extend the validity of the licences until December 31". "Now - he added - and given the persistence of the health crisis situation, we opted for a new six-month extension to prevent citizens from having to renew this procedure and go to municipal offices."
The councilor has clarified that “during this time, new licences will continue to be issued to those people who meet the requirements and still do not have the same, either because they have not requested it so far, because they have recently registered in Benidorm or because they have acquired a new vehicle ”. This procedure is requested in person on the ground floor of the Town Hall.
He also indicated that "these six months will be used to design and prepare the new card, as well as the operation of the different regulated parking areas that will be in Benidorm with the new Mobility ordinance."
