The City Council can now adapt the project for the execution of this link with the industrial estate
Conselleria gives the green light to the declaration of environmental impact of the ‘Vial Discotheques’
The layout of the cattle track must be adapted and raise seven acoustic screens to avoid noise in schools and homes
The General Directorate of Natural Environment and Environmental Assessment, dependent on the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, Climate Emergency and Ecological Transition, has given the green light to the Environmental Impact Declaration of the future 'Vial Discotecas', a link that will link the national highway 332 with the industrial park of Benidorm.
The resolution, signed on November 17, was published this Monday in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat Valenciana and considers the link project promoted by the City Council to be “acceptable”, indicating several conditions to be fulfilled and that they are “generally speaking the installation of seven acoustic screens and the replacement of Colada La Torreta cattle track, an issue the latter has practically already solved ”, as reported by the Councilor for Urban Planning, Lourdes Caselles.
The councilor explained that "seven acoustic screens must be installed to avoid the effects of noise from the new‘ Vial Discotheques ’to the educational centers of Salt de l’Aigua and to the homes in the area."
"These are the only two conditions that the Ministry has put to the project, since apart from that, they only point us to recommendations on the species of trees and plants to use on the slopes and roundabouts," he added.
In view of this report, the City Council is already "in a position to adapt the project for the execution of the‘ Vial Discotheques ’to the specifications made by the Department and to the content of the expropriation agreements signed with the previous owners of the land; some agreements that in a very high percentage have been closed by mutual agreement and that were ratified on November 30 in plenary session ”.
Likewise, she recalled that “the Ministry, for its part, has already reported favorably the project of the roundabout that will give access to the industrial state from the N-332, although at this time we hope that it will authorize the extension of the licence.
In this way, “the accesses to the industrial estate and its connection with both the N-332 variant and the center of Benidorm through the 'Vial Discotecas' are getting closer and closer, and with it the objective of completing the development of the industrial estate ”. A industrial state, has stated, that “we are convinced that it will be a catalyst for economic activity in the city, both for the income that it will report to the municipal coffers, especially for the construction of the shopping center, and for the jobs of work that will be generated as soon as the companies are implanted in this industrial and commercial area ”.
