Javier Jordá highlights the "excellent response" to an initiative that allows visitors to experience traditional crafts first-hand

Benidorm City Council's Department of Commerce has announced that the 'Les Nits del Castell' craft workshops will continue throughout August, remaining one of the summer's most popular attractions in Plaça de la Senyoria.

Councillor for Commerce Javier Jordá explained that the workshops "allow visitors to discover a range of traditional crafts first-hand through interactive activities designed for all ages, set in the unique surroundings of the Castell and overlooking the Mediterranean Sea."

Jordá highlighted the initiative's "excellent response" during July, as reflected in photographs taken throughout the month, which also showed "strong participation by families, tourists and residents in activities that encourage creativity, learning and direct interaction with local artisans," the councillor said.

'Les Nits del Castell' has become a well-established cultural meeting point where, in addition to artisans, painters also work live on site, further enriching the evening cultural experience.

The Councillor for Commerce encouraged both residents and visitors to "come to Plaça de la Senyoria and Plaça de Castelar and enjoy these activities, which help boost local businesses, promote traditional craftsmanship and provide cultural leisure opportunities during the summer evenings."

In this way, Benidorm City Council reaffirms "its commitment to promoting local talent and revitalising the historic town centre," Jordá concluded.
