Last days to register for the third edition of the ‘AMT Smart Destination Awards’
On November 20 is the deadline for the registration of 'AMT Smart Destinations Awards' contest, organized by Hotel Technology Institute (ITH) and which bears the name of Alliance of Sun and Beach Tourist Municipalities of which Benidorm is part. As in the previous two editions, these awards will reward the best national technological solutions and tools, already implemented, that facilitate tourist destinations to face the challenges of the implementation and development of an intelligent tourist destination (DTI). The awards ceremony will take place on January 23 in the framework of the International Tourism Fair (FITUR).

Of all the applications, only the three finalists of each category will have the opportunity to present their solutions at the #techYdestino forum, at FITUR, on January 23, 2020. These three finalist solutions will be communicated on December 20, 2019. In addition , will be included in an online catalog of technological solutions that will be sent to the Alliance of Sun and Beach Tourist Municipalities (AMT).
Technological solutions and tools can apply to five differentiated categories: Governance and public management; Interaction with tourists and citizens; Accessibility; Environmental sustainability; and Promotion and marketing of the destination.
The jury of 'AMT Smart Destinations Awards' will consist of the representatives of the Alliance of Sun and Beach Tourist Municipalities (AMT): the Town Halls of Benidorm, Salou, Lloret de Mar, Calviá, Torremolinos, Adeje, Arona and San Bartolomé de Tirajana; as well as a group of professional specialists from the hotel sector and the national tourism sector of Invattur, Segittur and FITUR.
Of the three finalists a winner will be named for each category. The winners will be announced on January 23, 2020, and the space chosen for the presentation ceremony will be FiturtechY, specifically the #techYdestino forum, dedicated to technology applied to tourist destinations.
The winners of the 2019 edition were: FoundSpot, in the category of “Interaction with tourists and citizens”, Modosmart who won the award for the best tool in the category of 'Sustainability', in the category of 'Promotion and marketing' was awarded EisiSoft. The Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia (Nexo) was awarded in the category of ‘Governance and public management’ and, the prize in the category of ‘Accessibility’, was awarded to Geko Navsat.
