The Councilor for Employment and Local Development, Mónica Gómez, has reported on the terms of these grants from the Generalitat and has encouraged "companies and self-employed in the city whose economic activity is classified in the sectors and codes collected in the bases to participate of this call for aid, which is processed directly from the Valencian government ”; and she recalled that "the Benidorm City Council has already adhered to the so-called‘ Parenthesis Grants ’, also provided for in the Resist Plan and to which the local administration will contribute about 790,000 euros."

Gómez has indicated that these 'Grants', co-financed by the Town Councils, Provincial Councils and the Generalitat, provide benefits of 2,000 euros for each self-employed person or micro-company, of less than 10 workers, with improvement sections of 200 euros per employee affiliated with Security Social as of December 31, 2020. The City Council will be in charge of managing these grants, once the relevant bases are set up and approved based on the reference guidelines established by the Valencian government.
