On the occasion of the 281 anniversary of Mare de Déu del Sofratge, L a Barqueta Cultural Association has prepared at its headquarters an exhibition of photos of l'Alba, a collection of snapshots that collect one of the most emotional moments of the festive calendar of the city: La Nit de l'Alba, the early morning of every March 16 when the city commemorates the discovery of the image of its patroness saint, Virgin of Sufragio in 1740, and which this year will not be celebrated either due to the pandemic .
The mayor of Benidorm, Toni Pérez, and the Councilor for Culture, Jaime Jesús Pérez, visited the exhibition that morning together with the president and at the same time president in perpetuity of Benidorm festivals, Francisco Llorens Orts, 'Paco Rosera' and they were able to see hundreds of photographs with the image of the patroness, with the emotion and devotion that characterizes La Nit d'Alba and that only those who live in Benidorm and participate in it could describe. The exhibition will remain open until March 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
