The jury of the Christmas Window Dressing Competition begins to visit the participating establishments

El jurado del Concurso de Escaparatismo Navideño comienza a visitar los locales participantes

The awards ceremony will take place on the 21st, in the assembly hall of the City Council

The jury that will decide which establishment will be the winner of the twenty-third edition of the Christmas Window Dressing Competition has started this morning the visit of the 112 establishments that compete in this edition. The councilor of Commerce, Ana Pellicer, has received this morning the members of the jury before starting an itinerary that will take them to the most commercial streets of the city. This committee of experts is formed by Carmen Berenguer, representing the Association of Merchants (AICO); Maite Martínez, of the Association of Bars and Restaurants (Abreca-Cobreca); Mila Sala, IES Pere María Orts i Bosch; Isabel Claveras, of Anémona, the Self-Help Group of Women with Breast Cancer; Pepa Giner and Paquita Mata, of the Association of Housewives; Paula Franco and Laura Ochando, experts in commercial architecture; and Pablo Muñoz, student of Commerce. The XXIII Christmas Window Competition is organized by the department of Commerce in collaboration with local professional and leisure associations like Aico, Hosbec, Abreca-Cobreca and Ociobal. The verdict of the jury will be known in the coming days. The winning establishment will receive a check for 500 euros. The awards ceremony is scheduled for 21 December at 21.00 in the Auditorium of the Town Hall.
