Arranca el II Congreso de Drones policiales. Tecnología UAS al servicio de los ciudadanos

After visiting the exhibitors of equipment and technology in tent attached to the Assembly Hall of the City of Benidorm, this morning, again in Benidorm, started the II Congress of Police Drones that has once again fulfilled its expectations in terms of participants and quality of the speakers. And, this second edition the novelty is the part of exhibition and demonstration of capacities and operability of the drones exposed, tomorrow, in the Helipad helipad.

The Councilor for Citizen Security and Emergencies, Lorenzo Martínez Sola, opened the congress, pointing out the importance of it as an element of "sharing of realities and applications of the civil use of drones."

He expressed his satisfaction that Benidorm is once again a reference in drones for “the novelties and capabilities of new equipment and vehicles” exposed, highlighting that the rapid evolution of the segment requires administrations “greater involvement in the training of pilots and in the operational maintenance of the teams".

The councilor recalled that Benidorm was a pioneer in incorporating drones in the Local Police teams and showed his satisfaction because these units are already common in other police forces since the effectiveness of these tools is beyond doubt "in cases of surveillance and prevention , as well as management of emergency situations and rescue actions ”. For Martínez, the key to drone operations is that "they offer new perspectives for analysis, reach inaccessible places, mitigate risk to public servants and improve both the response capacity of land units and their coordination."

Finally, the councilor thanked the work of the Local Police Corps of Benidorm and the Polytechnic University of Valencia and Professor Israel Quintanilla, key to the development of the Unmanned Aircraft Use Regulations of the Local Police of Benidorm.

Professor Quintanilla, on the other hand, highlighted the tune with the drone unit of the Local Police of Benidorm and that the city be where two European Union projects on urban air mobility and air distribution of goods are tested.

Today the Spanish Air Navigation Manager, the Emergency Military Unit, the Valencian Agency for Security and Emergency Response, National Police, Civil Guard, Ertzaintza, Mossos d'Esquadra, local police, business technicians are involved and experts in emergency management and drone utility.
