Alumnos del IES Pere Mª Orts i Bosch exhiben su rechazo a la violencia de género a través de 25 carteles

For the second year the students of the 2nd year of Artistic Baccalaureate of the IES Pere Mª Orts i Bosch have wanted to show their rejection of gender violence with a sample of posters prepared by the students themselves, coinciding with the events of the International Day of the elimination of violence against women that is commemorated next Sunday, November 25.

The Councilor for Equality, Paquita Ripoll, and the councillor of Social Welfare, Angela Llorca, have visited this morning the exhibition, installed in the IES, with the director of the center, Antonio García; Professor Ginés Lloret; and the technicians of the area of Equality and Culture of the City Council.

With clear messages and in a very iconic way, students have used their creativity to address different aspects related to this social scourge such as silence, fear or the need to break with the situation of aggression.

The Councilor for Equality has valued "positively" that "young people participate and denounce this social problem with artistic contributions", and reminded the students that "the hopes of change are placed in them".

Ripoll advanced that this sample, composed of 27 posters and with the collaboration of the Department of Culture directed by Ana Pellicer, will be exhibited at the beginning of the year in l'Espai d'Art of the City Council to "give visibility to the work carried out by the students and show their vision of gender violence and the need to stop it ".

For its part, a student representative indicated that with these works they want to "raise awareness" for the population about gender violence, "with clear messages" with the hope that "some day they are not necessary."
