Benidorm City Council’s Department of Culture will resume its Grandes Recitales concert series tomorrow, Friday 24 October, with a performance entitled ‘Young Talents’, in which students from José Pérez Barceló Municipal Professional Conservatory of Music will introduce classical works to a wider audience. The concert will take place in the Assembly Hall at Benidorm City Hall, starting at 8 pm. As usual, admission will be free, subject to available capacity.
Councillor for Culture Jaime Jesús Pérez explained that the programme will feature five pieces performed by students Yuri Durnev; Enrique López Fuster, accompanied on the piano by teacher Pedro Mercado Isidro; Pedro Mercado Pérez; Pedro Soler Cerdán; and Saúl Arjona Júdez, Eric Rodríguez Manzano, Gabriel Fuster Adán and Rafael Doménech Ródenas.
Pérez invited residents to “enjoy this latest concert in the Grandes Recitales series”, adding that “on this occasion, there is perhaps even more reason to attend”. He explained that, alongside bringing classical music to a wider audience, the concert aims to give young performers a platform to showcase their talent and musical skills, as well as everything they have learnt during their years at the Conservatory.
